Family History
Giovanni (John)
Rossi came to the U.S.A. in 1965. As luck and fate had it,
he met Angelina Trocino whom he married in 1971. Victor
Trocino, Angelina's brother, who was also living in the U.S. decided to
join his Brother-In-Law in opening a Traditional Italian Rosticceria
in 1979. As Angelina said, "We brought everything we knew
with us from Italy; cooking and sharing every aspect of our
heritage."
They welcomed the opportunity
to provide their customers with fresh, delicious, home cooked
Italian meals and hard to find imports. Later, in 1979 Victor
Trocino decided to return to Italy with his wife and children.
Even with Victor returning home, Angelina and John continued to carry on
the family traditions they were all so proud of.
The quality, service and customer
satisfaction of Rossi's Deli has remained the same since the
beginning. Victor's eye for designing the store itself; knowing how important it
was to create an inviting atmosphere along with great food,
was revisited this past year in the extensive renovation of
the Deli. The Rossi's are dedicated to continuing Victor's vision by maintaining and modernizing
their business as often as possible.
Thanks to the addition of their sons Fabio and Roberto, Rossi's
Deli has now become Rosticceria Rossi & Sons. Fabio and
Roberto combine Old World flavor with a New flare, maintaining Italian
tradition and introducing innovative styles of European cuisines.
Rossi's has evolved into a household name
throughout the Hudson Valley. They offer
breakfast,
lunch, dinner
and are happy to cater
your special
occasion large or small with the same care they have used over the
past 28 years.
Rossi's Deli is dedicated to serve with pride and quality
- to all our valued customers and dear friends, thank you for your
patronage and Buon Appetito!
